Break 2 - Taran Ullivarn

Order in Chaos

As Taran threw his last fire orb at the remnants of the shimmering gray chaos liquid on the ground, watching it hiss and crackle before harmlessly evaporating, he slumped his back to a nearby wall and slid down to a sitting position.

Cleanup. Figures.

He huffs a couple of breaths in the cold air and pulls out a small cup from his hip bag, mumbling a few small words to Boccob, and watches it fill with pure clean water. "There are a few benefits to this whole divine thing", he thinks as he takes a small sip, letting the liquid roll slowly down his throat.

This might not be Dragon Slaying, but it's definitely interesting. These things, twisted by Chaos, were certainly new. And this First thing, well...fairy tales aren't supposed to come true and the more he read through and deciphered the book, the more likely it seemed that they were.

He managed his way to a standing position and made a last glance around the dark, cold room before he trudged his way up the stairs and made his way back into his personal rooms inside the wagon that was bigger in than out.

He had managed to pickup a few other small books relevant to this particular tale from the "Priestess" quarters in the Church of Pelor, and after blessing away any taints on them, he began as only a military tactician would. He picked up a map at a local market and started plotting points of interest and rumor. Each book only really gleamed a few bits and pieces, but amidst this heavy feeling of powerlessness and reaction, it was something.

Gods be damned, but he was tired.
